I am afraid that Donnacha made a couple of jumping errors at a crucial stage yesterday and any chance he may have had was soon gone.
Exeter. 4.35 Veterans Handicap Chase. Class 2. Over 3 miles. Going Heavy
Run to Milan 2 points each way at 13/2 (each way 4 places)
This is a race for horses who are aged 10 years or over
Knows this course very well having run here eleven times. All his three runs this season have been at Exeter and he has run well in all of them.
Heavy ground should suit him, and he has to be backed carrying bottom weight of 10st 2lbs. He is 5 lb out of the handicap. Should be carrying 9st 11lbs but minimum weight for any handicap is 10st 2lbs.
Finished second behind Top of the Bill in his last run, and that horse bolted up again at Taunton earlier this week.
I can see Run to Milan and Ramses De Teillee both racing prominently and I think the selection can prevail under his featherweight. He has had a break of 52 days which should help.
